Sunlight seems to be scarce in the 6ix this winter, and maybe it’s got you a bit under the weather, but we have the ultimate cheer-up guide! Whether you’re looking for something to take your mind off dreary times, laugh the night away, or enjoy some quality time with your sweetie, we have just the prescription to help you beat the winter blues! Simply live, laugh, and love.
Hear us out, because this iconic annual festival is worth the extra mittens. The Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Festivalshowcases only beers from bona fide Ontario Craft Brewers, based on their passion to re-kindle and keep alive the spirit of traditional brewing: independent ownership, smaller batches, artisanal styles, quality ingredients, all-natural and undiluted. This year will even include contributions from the Alberta Brewers. Grab your retro ski gear to fit in, and sip the best brews to stay warm.
Catch A Show
The Entertainment District is home to no shortage of theatrical events. This winter’s lineup is here to impress at the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra Theatre. Princess of Wales will soon be home to the notoriously funny Book of Morman, which makes its triumphant return to the city at the end of February. Or for something in between (quite literally), Mirvish will be hosting a pop-up theatre along King, with a sort-of adaptation of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov called Stupid F**king Bird. Other exciting shows this winter will include Cabaretand Mrs. Henderson Presents – The New Musical
